OUR OPHTHALMOLOGISTS
Richard N. Gordon, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist and glaucoma subspecialist. He earned his medical degree from New York University and completed a fellowship in glaucoma surgery and management at the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary. He holds membership with numerous professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. Dr. Gordon is the founder and executive director of Palisades Laser Eye Center, which offers such advanced vision correction treatments as LASIK, iLASIK, and PRK.
Sonia Kern, M.D. has special training (fellowship) in cornea and glaucoma treatment. She holds membership at the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Cornea Society, and the International Society of Refractive Surgery. Dr. Kern is also a fellow of the Emory Eye Center in Atlanta, GA.
Susan Gelman, M.D., M.P.H. is a board-certified ophthalmologist who is fellowship trained in vitreoretinal diseases. Dr. Gelman holds membership with the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retinal Specialists and the New York State Ophthalmological Society.
William J. Schwartz, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist. He earned his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Schwartz holds membership with the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the New York State Ophthalmologic Society.
